Yesterday was the BBQ Under-the-stars and Sleepover.

This is Part 1 of 2. (Prelude and Build-up)

After the Rehearsal for Graduation Ceremony, I, Fiona, Ariel and Etsuko had to go to the Music Room to do yet another rehearsal. After that, Ariel had to go to debate, but she forgot her water bottle and book. Etsuko had to go home. That left me and Fiona. After saying goodbye to our drumming teacher, (Miss) Emma, we went down with Ms. Mavis Tan. Fiona bought chicken rice; Ms. Mavis Tan bought chicken and duck rice and I bought an avocado milkshake.

(Forgive the rambling)

After eating(and drinking), Fiona and I went up to the classroom to entertain ourselves for the rest of the duration (until 17 30, that makes about three hours). We had three hours to kill. So, we played taiti (Instructions on how to play on another blog post) and Randy came in. Apparently he was staying until 17 30 and then staying overnight too. Oh what a surprise. Daniel Chin was too; we played taiti until Kenneth and Cleven came in and Cleven brought his basketball. Jaron then came in and brought Cleven, Kenneth, Xin Jie and Randy down to play soccer...( I think D.C. went too, but I cannot be too sure.)

That left me and Fiona alone again. We amused ourselves by playing with the basketball Cleven brought, and also "borrowed" Pei Fang's Monopoly(TM) set to play with. (I almost won.) Randy chose that moment to come in, and proceeded to tell me that I would lose because I had too much property and too little money, which i found completely illogical. (Fun Fact: I bought Vine Street for $1 because Fiona didn't want to auction). Cleven and Xin Jie and D.C. would come later.

After a few more rounds of moving the little counters clockwise around the green board, a member of the school staff came in and promptly proceeded to lock the door. A few questions later, we surmised that we were not supposed to sleep in our respective classrooms, but instead in the hall! Pei Fang was not back yet, so we had to bring her bag down ( she was also staying for the night). We had an informal assembly (meaning no one told us to sit there) at the courtyard, then we were told to proceed to the hall. We had the Teachers - Students match of Captain's Ball and soccer while waiting for the food to be readied. The captain's ball match was deeply disappointing, with the teachers winning 8- 3 or something. Xuan Li was really the star player (you can find her blog at http://catlover261.blogspot.com) because she was the goalee and she was really good at blocking Mrs. Chan at getting the ball. Overall, I thought the females played commendably, although even after repeated examples (not explictly depicted, of course) they still didn't learn to block the opponent when they throw the ball. The soccer match was much better, with the boys winning 1/2 - 0 (cannot remember). I was the commentator for the soccer match, and I sucked. ( I never watched soccer games), after which returning back to my floor-seat I was bombarded with extremely sarcastic comments and sniggers.

But enough of that. Anyway, after the two games, we were allowed to go back to the courtyard and start eating!

...... To be continued in Part II
